Dorset Knobs info⬇️
Enjoying Dorset Knobs:
* Dorset Knobs are traditionally eaten with cheese, especially with Dorset Blue Vinny .
* They can also be enjoyed with butter, dipped in tea or cider, or with honey and cream (known as “thunder and lightning”).
* Thomas Hardy, the author, was known to enjoy Dorset Knobs with Stilton cheese.
But what are they?⬇️
Dorset Knobs are a traditional, small, round, and crumbly biscuit from Dorset, England, known for their unique flavor and texture.
They are made from leftover bread dough, enriched with butter and sugar, and baked three times for a crispy, dry finish.
Dorset Knobs were first made by bakers in West Dorset, likely sometime before 1860 .
